Most Memorable Moment:
Darlene will never forget her very first day of teaching at age 22 on February 8, 1988, when her supervisor dropped her off at Pagels School and said, “This is your class!” As she faced a room of curious little faces, some students excitedly exclaimed, “I know Darlene! She was my camp counselor!” And so, the journey of Miss Dottori began — a career filled with rewarding and unforgettable moments.
Advice to New Teachers:
“Establish a rapport with your students’ families and become a TEAM with them.”
What She’ll Miss the Most:
“The students — and all their hugs!”
