March has been a busy month for students at Pagels! Leprechauns, the Carolina Panthers’ mascot, and the Denver Broncos’ cheerleaders along with Hall of Fame college football players, all visited the school! Additionally, students and Pete the Cat rocked out with Al DeCant for Read Across America Day, and a Character Day sponsored by the PTA brought lots of exciting costumes to Pagels, including Mickey!

🏀 GAME DAY! The West Haven High School boys’ basketball team is playing in the CIAC Division II State Championship Game tonight at 8:15 pm! Darlene Wynne, a special education teacher at Pagels, and her daughter, Shannon Wynne, a second-grade teacher at Forest, received donations for their school staff from Double Good Popcorn! Double Good is a fundraiser in which, for every bag sold, a bag is donated to school staff and healthcare workers. It brought much joy to both the Pagels and Forest School Staff members!

On March 27th, Quinnipiac will be hosting a session at West Haven High School from 1 PM - 3 PM. Staff members may drop in and attend during their work day. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝟭𝟵𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 | Over the past 19 years, K-12 students from all over Connecticut have had the opportunity to submit their creative writing, poetry, and prose for the annual Celebration of Young Writers. This is a great opportunity for students to submit their pieces of work and compete against students from all over Connecticut.
